Another little striped matelot in the making.   I'm really enjoying this colour combo.

Halfway through a custom order ... knitting with my favourite colour is no hardship - and of course knitting is hardly a hardship anyway, more like a joy

Not much time for knitting ...

Haven't had much time for knitting with the big move to the country but have managed to knit a few of these ....

An anniversary .....

Saturday, October 13, 2012

Today is our 6 week anniversary of our new life ... living in the country rather than a city and working on our acre of land rather than in an office (me) or outside mowing sports fields (Mr Glennie Knits).

Life is good .....

And we're here ....

Monday, September 24, 2012

We've now been living in the country for three weeks and it seems a whole lot longer.   I think I'm suffering from sensory overload what with wild flocks of peacocks and turkeys wandering the hills outside the kitchen window, peasants scurrying out of the way of the car when we drive down the road, the joy of discovering a new garden in spring and all the "stuff" that goes with any sort of house move but more so when you move from the city to the country, my knitting has been sorely neglected.

Halfway there ...

We're almost packed and ready to move tomorrow.   Slight spanner in the works with a couple of foot operations which has slowed things up but we're nearly there.   My next entry will be from Waipu!

Dreaming of Waipu ....

Sunday, August 12, 2012

Knitting has taken a back seat recently.   Between most of my wool being offsite at a storage unit while we sold the house, keeping the house pristine for open homes, then not selling at auction only to sell unconditionally 4 days later, life has been like a yo-yo.

The next 3 weeks will be messy as we move up to Waipu at the end of the month ... please bear with me!

Choosing a button ....

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

I've been finishing off a custom order using a gorgeous plum/purple colour in the Touch merino wool range - such a joy to knit.   Then we had the button dilemna - which one to choose...

And of course we chose the only one that has a slightly out of focus photo ...

That pesky shade 0050 again .....

Monday, July 2, 2012

I'm slightly at sixes and sevens with my knitting at the moment as most of my wool is packed away in a Smartbox about a 30 min drive away from home.   We have decluttered our house in order to put it on the market and I didn't really think about access to wool!!

However I do of course have some of my trusty cream tucked away at home so have been able to knit one of my little swing cardys ...

Boxes ....

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

My knitting has been put aside over the last couple of weeks as completely out of the blue, we are moving!   To the country!   Not for a few weeks yet but there was and is much to be done around our old cottage before our first open homes ....

More to come ....

A sweet little vest .....

Thursday, June 7, 2012

This little vest started with an emailed image from a friend and a request to knit something similar...

We then decided wool, colour and buttons ...

And then I got knitting ....

No room for table sharing today!

And here it is ...

Busy fingers ....

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

I have been kept busy the last couple of weeks with orders and am now desperately trying to finish a couple of little cardy's (and a beanie) for the Devonport Craft Market this Sunday.   Annoying things like work, making meals, supermarket shopping and "must do" exercise keep getting in the way .... wish me luck!

Isabella .....

Thursday, May 24, 2012

I'm doing what I term "boring" knitting at the moment, replacing stock that sold at the last Devonport craft market so I've decided to feature our much loved Isabella ....
