I've just finished a little ballerina cardy for a friend's 6 month old baby. I just love this pattern and although I'm happy with this, I think the smaller 0-3 month size is so sweet and much nicer to knit !

I just love the way these lillies produce their leaves after the flower stalk. To my delight my beloved bought me home three bulbs last year which I popped into pots rather than the garden so I can move them around when they flower... and take them with us if we ever move!!

I'm making a scarf for one of my friends and discovered this gorgeous wool ....
Initially I thought I'd knit this pattern but I've decided the wool is so soft and silky it just needs a simple garter stitch.
And here's a photo of Issie yesterday when she decided the world was just too cold without the benefit of a mohair blankie .... notice there's a glass of water on the bedside cabinet and a stragically placed pillow behind her allowing easy access to it - she only drinks water out of this glass, a blue bowl in the bathroom and the occasional agave leaf outside ....
